Winter Cocktails for the Holidays and Beyond

This the holiday season, and you have friends, family and even co-workers joining you in your beautifully decorated home to celebrate with food and drink. Beer, wine or a simple pour just doesn’t seem adequate to complement the festive mood.
At AAA Rents & Events, we are in the business of making sure your gathering is a success, whether it is a company party or even a winter wedding. We’re more than just event rentals for Los Angeles – we’re an integral part of a memorable experience.
To that end, we would like to offer some winter cocktail suggestions that are bound to make your party memorable…

Wonderful Winter Libations

1.    Homemade Eggnog? Who’s got time? Purchase high-quality, ready-made eggnog, and add nutmeg and rum or bourbon to taste.
2.    Peppermint Eggnog Martini – it’s all about the presentation, really. And the right vodka. Peppermint schnapps adds flavor, but also adds additional alcohol, so be careful!
3.    Homemade Tom and Jerry – stay away from the store bought batter on this one, the homemade version is delicious!
4.    Candy Cane Cocktail – add a sugar rim to make it really special.
5.    Pomegranate Champagne Punch – a beautiful and refreshing addition to any party.
6.    Hot Chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps – served with a candy cane for bonus points.

One of the great things about many of these offerings is that you can also make them non-alcoholic for the younger crowd or the non-drinkers in your group with a little tweaking. Homemade eggnog is, of course, delicious without brandy, and you can substitute orange juice and sparkling pear cider in the pomegranate punch or peppermint flavoring for the Schnapps in the hot chocolate.
The presentation for your festive holiday beverages will vary depending on the size and occasion of your gathering. You may want to use your stunning glassware or for a larger crowd use tasteful but practical plastic stemware. But, whether you are serving your punch or eggnog in a plastic or beautiful crystal bowl, make sure and surround it with holiday greens and colorful berries or baubles.

And where are your guests going to get their drinks? Don’t forget the bar! Contact AAA Rents & Events about renting a bar for your gathering.
